The product must earn it. The brand must express it.
Genuine innovation deserves work of an equally high standard across everything a consumer sees, tastes, handles and remembers. We bring different forms of expertise together because no single discipline can deliver that standard alone.
Finding the product truth
What is substantively different about the idea? Is it actually new, useful, better or more enjoyable when measured against the strongest alternatives? We do not mistake technical novelty for a consumer benefit, or a hypothesis for a proven result.
Understanding people
A useful difference needs to matter in a particular life, category or occasion. We look at what people already choose, what they value and what might make a new offering genuinely desirable.
Creative excellence
A proposition should be clear enough to understand and distinctive enough to remember. Naming, product identity, packaging, design and communication should grow from real product character. They should help people recognise something worth choosing, not disguise an ordinary offering.
Product and sensory judgement
Materials, formulation, texture, taste, packaging, usability and consistency jointly shape experience. Great brand character cannot redeem a disappointing product; excellent technical work still needs to be experienced well.
Making and selling reliably
Suppliers, manufacturing, quality, safety, distribution, margins and the disciplines of retail and direct sales have to be understood. A credible consumer business is made in the world, not only described in a presentation.
Reusable experience
The work of one brand can help develop another product within that brand, improve a sister brand, disclose a technical problem, or lead to a fresh venture. Where justified and permitted, we aim to retain what was learnt—including what did not work.
Our other half: NUMBRZ Science
Science brings deeper material, process and physiological enquiry; Studios brings consumer insight, creative character and the realities of product development and commerce. Work across our earlier materials and liquids investigations has already generated cross-disciplinary insights that we regard as original and commercially valuable. We see this as an early competitive advantage of our shared approach. Future opportunities may grow from these insights, from other work within NUMBRZ or from innovations originating elsewhere.
